Tax Preparation Services for Small Businesses
The End (of the Tax Year) Doesn't Have to be Frightening!
At ClearKept Bookkeeping, we provide tax preparation services designed specifically for individuals and small businesses. Whether you’re filing annual returns or planning ahead, we help you stay compliant, avoid surprises, and keep more of what you earn.
Tax season often carries a reputation for stress, confusion, and last-minute panic—but it doesn’t have to be that way! With the right preparation and guidance, the end of the tax year can feel organized, manageable, and even empowering. I help clients take control of their finances, clarify what’s deductible, and ensure their filings are accurate and timely—so you can face the tax year’s end with confidence, not anxiety.

Who I Serve
My tax preparation service is geared toward serving the same types of clients I work with in my bookkeeping practice:
- Individuals — personal tax returns with the same clarity and accuracy we bring to businesses.
- Solopreneurs — I’m happy to work with one-member businesses (like my own)! I’ll get your Schedule C in order along with your individual 1040.
- Partnerships — If the prospect of filing a business partnership return, determining passthrough income and creating K-1s has you stressed, I’m happy to help!
What's Included
Depending on your tax situation (individual or company) and structure (sole proprietor or partnership), the following options might vary, but rest assured — we’ll find the right combination of services for your needs!
- Individual tax returns (Form 1040)

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I have to be a bookkeeping client?
A: NO! While I would love to have your bookkeeping business, I’m happy to provide tax preparation services for businesses or individuals who just need tax help.
Q: Can you work with my current system?
A: Yes — we’ll review your setup and make sure your records are ready for accurate tax filing.
Q: What documents do I need to provide?
A: Although every taxpayer’s scenario might vary, you should be prepared to provide records of income (W-2, 1099 etc.) and proof of deductions (receipts, mileage logs, lease agreements etc.). For businesses, you’ll want to have income records, expenses and payroll.
In all cases, access to prior year returns is a huge advantage.
Q: Do you offer tax planning, not just filing?
A: I am not a certified financial advisor, but part of my responsibility as a tax professional is to minimize my clients’ tax liability as much as possible while remaining within the boundaries of professional ethics and the law. To that end, I will do my utmost to advise on the best ways save money on this year’s taxes, as well as in the future!
Q: Can you handle filing for multiple states?
A: I can prepare federal and state returns, including multi-state filings. I’ll ensure your income is reported correctly and any credits or offsets are applied.
Q: How early should I start preparing my taxes?
A: In general, the earlier the better. The sooner we can gather your documents and organize all your information, the smoother the process will be. Starting early allows time to identify deductions, catch errors and plan ahead.
